Need to hear some Dr. Froth? Here are some good places to look:
“Wasting Time” — Six Minute Century 2013
The second Six Minute Century album released on Nightmare Records. This was the first SMC record that I appear on and features two songs that I composed as well as some upper register work with NS and the Fractal. Czardas appeared on this album and was received well by critics.
“Sorrow My Name” — Well Of Souls 2012
This was the first album to feature my playing on the NS/STICK completely. Sorrow My Name was released on John Perez’s Brainticket label and was one of the last releases to do so. The music is epic doom metal and features some interesting effects in the high register that create an almost synth like feel.
“Rebel Mind” — Eumeria 2011
My friend Bobby Williamson asked me to play on two cuts of this spectacular progressive metal album. You can hear my bass on the tracks “Legion” and “The Key.” My only regret is that I did not get to play on the whole thing. This album is really phenomenal.
“Lonely World” — Wolfeblitzer 2007
Wolfeblitzer was the first band that I joined after moving to Houston and through them I got to meet many really important people in the scene down here. This would include my friend Darrin Davis who would later get me involved in Six Minute Century. The music is female fronted metal (there is a Judas Priest cover on this album if that tells you anything) and I had quite a bit of fun writing for this project.
“Empire of the Mind” — Empire of the Mind 2004
This was a band formed by Thomas Brain and myself in Plainview , Tx during the early portion of the millennium. David Gonzales and Omar Ramirez would later join along with Heath Cates. Despite owning a studio at the time we managed to only record a small three song demo that had very small exposure. This included the radio edits of “Widow’s Eve”, “It’ll Be Alright”, and the entire song Infinity.
