I have been a big fan of Soilwork for many, many years and there is only one thing I can say about the newest release…
It is FUCKING AWESOME.
This is without a doubt the best Soilwork album in the entire catalog and that is saying a lot because I can not think of a bad one. Peter Wichers is back on this record after his absence on Sworn To A Great Divide and it shows.
Each track has something for the fans to really enjoy and on some, like Late For The Kill, the band tries going into new territory. For me, however, Night Comes Clean and The Thrill are what this record is all about. These are the reasons that I became a fan of Soilwork in the first place.
For those of you that enjoyed Stabbing the Drama, you will be happy to note that a remix version of Distance appears on this album and it is very, very well done.
Clean vocals, Scream vocals, catchy near-prog at times guitar riffs, tight drumming and creative composition…what more could you want.
If you have never checked out Soilwork than this is the record to start with boys and girls. And if you have heard them before than YOU MUST get this album.
I kept the whole thing on my player so there is no need to list the tracks.
